It’s gotten obvious enough to be a giant elephant in the room. A bunch of federal judges spoke to NYT reporters about it a few weeks ago, which is bonkers. Justice Barrett is doing media interviews defending it because she’s the only conservative justice you can put in front of a mic.

No don’t use your powers for this 😔

It’s an effect I don’t hear discussed as often, but is one of the more conscious-level noticeable effects for me, of when they’re on vs. off

And makes everything better. Yeah I don’t know why there’s some kind of whole discourse about it. That would probably require understanding more about straight dating and whatnot than we really care to

I imagine a lot of this is related to people not understanding or not stopping to think about how hard videogames are to make. Things like the "door problem" article. A videogame is so much more different from a movie than people seem to imagine when they pitch ideas like this.

Calling me intimidating is just statistical error. The average person finds me supportive and encouraging. Submissive Chloe, who imagines me wrapping my hands around her throat the first moment I ever get the chance, is an outlier and should not be counted.

Ok yes true, there might be a lot of selection bias in who we hang out with and how they respond to being casually threatened with violence

Being open about doing unhinged things to people is secretly anti-intimidating, I think
