The Federalist Society has apparently taken down the video of Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche's "Fireside Chat" at the National Lawyers Convention on November 7 (the one where he said that he and the Justice Department are at "war" against federal district courts):

Yesterday, a Republican tried to give me holy water and Trump perfume because I’m “demonic.”

This morning, I was hit in the face by a baton.

I’m going to have a pretty gnarly bruise but we need to remember why this is happening: Trump and ICE are rounding up our neighbors, treating them as subhuman, and shipping them off to labor camps in foreign countries. It has to end.

Reupping my piece from a couple of weeks ago on how SCOTUS has made it easier, not harder, for bad faith presidents to go after their predecessors www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnb...
Opinion | The immunity ruling was ostensibly to protect former presidents. So much for that.
Far from deterring such prosecutions, the court’s 2024 decision has made them easier.

Paul Dama left Nigeria after being kidnapped in 2018. His detention by ICE now feels like “a second kidnapping,” says his sister.

“I felt like someone just sucked my blood, my air. Like, how do you live?"
He fled Boko Haram and helped build an award-winning restaurant. Now he’s facing deportation.

What a sick-ass archive pull.

Opposing genocide isn’t anti-semitic.

Every word of this.

Jon Stewart: “I feel I’m watching something so self-evidently inhumane & horrific and to be told I have to shut up because I risk the Jewish state? They’re putting the likelihood of a surviving Jewish state much more at risk.”
