Alright, I only made it through 5-6 chapters of Sinclair Lewis' 'It Can't Happen Here' cuz it just felt too real, but I still think it doesn't get enough credit alongside 1984 and Brave New World as an alarmingly incisive anticipation of uniquely American authoritarianism.
