Wow!
Continuing to seek out great artists painting unfamiliar subjects for them, or in uncharacteristic styles. Here’s Mondrian’s Red Tree, which I had the privilege of seeing at an exhibition not long ago. Transition work from early landscapes to full abstraction.

Glad I booked a gallery visit with a friend rather than a picnic in the park today...
according to the weather forecast the next time we see the sun *may* be in 11 days, when London is predicted to have some "sunny intervals" for five hours

@bjfogg.bsky.social, that's an interesting hypothesis, but I wonder if it depends on what we would be doing instead if we weren't investing in those weak ties. Also, strong ties start off as weak ties!
I believe this is mostly true:
The more we focus on weak ties (distant relationships), the less happy we become.
Why? Because happiness comes from our closest relationships.
Investing in weak ties (even via bsky) means we have less time/energy for close relationships.
(more soon ...)

Holiday tip . . .
You can be the most engaging person at your holiday gathering by saying these 5 words:
"That's interesting. Tell me more."
Then you listen carefully.
Repeat these 5 words sincerely. Over and over.
See what happens.

Great idea. Haven't chosen mine yet -- the list of possibilities is long! What's yours?
Instead of resolutions for 2025, ask yourself this question:
What is the simplest one-time change I can make to my home environment that will have the biggest impact on my well-being thru all of 2025?
Come up with a few answers. Pick one you like best. And then do it.
Bonus: share in a comment

If you usually make #newyear'sresolutions, maybe do something different this year and think about creating #tinyhabits instead. They're more fun! Find out how tomorrow at 8 pm (GMT) at a free webinar with Mark Lichman.

This is really getting quite remarkable
• BlueSky user numbers have doubled in the past week and now total 3.5 million across US & UK 🚀
• Number of people deleting their X/Twitter account remains way up
And the next chart is particularly notable...
