this might be a joke but the thing i immediately appreciated about japan when i recently visited was how space-efficient all the cars were, and i wished i could magically reduce all the cars in the US to that size.

since i cannot deal with the california temperatures i grew up with anymore, i had to move north, and it's hot in PNW too in the summer, which makes me look even further north...

the fact that the rain doesn't bother me is a huge privilege because i know a lot of friends who understandably just couldn't stand it up here and i get why.
