Here I react to the shameful encounter between American leaders and media and the Ukrainian president. No doubt there were more, but I saw five failures on our side: of hospitality, decency, democracy, strategy, and independence. Please watch and share.

I’m still processing what we saw in the Oval Office and it’s difficult to put into words how disgusted and ashamed I am.

This was a coordinated assault on an ally to benefit a dictator and authoritarian regime. Trump and Vance aren’t just Putin’s puppets, they’re his assets.

Dusting off my old Oxford English Dictionary and consulting carefully, I could not find "attack friends and submit to enemies" as a definition of the word "strength."

Cyber attacks are the main way Russia engages us. An important bit of context as we choose an alliance with Russia over historical alliances with richer and more reliable countries who, to state the obvious, do not attack us all the time on cyber.

Why am I not surprised
Senator @MarshaBlackburn right there in the middle of all the complicit

Only Marsha would slash much-needed resources for our state right before she tries to come back and be Governor of it.

Trump and Vance’s meltdown today was such a shit show. We should be ashamed that these cowards are leading our country. But then again, republicans don’t have any shame.

Of the 4000 researchers at NIH, only 20% are tenured. They’re going to fire all the rest as their contracts come up for renewal, absolutely decimating research at the NIH. This is catastrophic, not just for Americans, but for the whole world.

This scrum of pot-bellied, sunken-chested betas trying to bully an all-black clad badass Eastern European wasteland survivor while dressed like Men’s Wearhouse mannequins is peak cinema.
GLENN: Why don't you wear a suit? You're at the highest level in this country's office & you refuse to wear a suit. A lot of Americans have problems with you not respecting the office.

ZELENSKYY: I will wear a costume after this war will finish. Maybe something like yours. Maybe something better.

This is exactly what progressives said would happen and yet Biden/the Democrats chose to champion this ban and make themselves the face of it bc they care more about passing authoritarian policies like a TikTok ban than listening to their own constituents (none of whom wanted this ban)
Cool. Pro-Trump propaganda. This is such an unforced error on Democrats part. Banning this app was such an asinine move.

What a joke. Tiktok is state media now. Don't think they won't do whatever Trump says in terms of content moderation and the algorithm.

UPDATE: This is the message on TikTok right now. Letting Trump be the hero in this situation does not seem like the best strategery on the part of the Dems, but what do we know! 🤷🏻

No matter what ends up happening now that TikTok is banned — let’s not forget that this happens so fast, the noose tightens so quickly. The People are not in control. Doesn’t matter where you are.
