Uczona jest główną autorką badań nad przyczynami najszybszego we współczesnej historii wycofywania się lodowca. Hektoria stracił niemal połowę masy w ciągu 2 miesięcy. Poznanie przyczyn tego zjawiska pozwoli na zidentyfikowanie innych zagrożonych lodowców.
Ponad 2 kilometry w 2 dni. Tak szybko nie rozpadał się żaden lodowiec

W 1987 roku do Biblioteki Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego przyszła emerytowana nauczycielka historii, która postanowiła przekazać bibliotece pewną mapę. Przed wielu laty otrzymała ją od swojej uczennicy, która znalazła ją w piwnicy.

Wspaniały żółw wykonany z pojedynczego kawałka nefrytu. Rzeźba waży 41 kilogramów. Została znaleziona w 1803 roku podczas prac inżynieryjnych w forcie w Allahabadzie na północy Indii.
