Being from New Orleans, living in San Diego, I see overlap in these cultures so much. The accordian. The death imagery. Mixing indigenous and Catholic spirituality. There's even an analog of the Mardi Gras King Cake called Rosca de Reyas. I love it so much and I want this to be a nod to that.

I'm embarrassed at how long it took me to figure this out.

Me: Acne

Allergist: You don't have acne.

Me: Are you my dermatologist now? It's hard to keep up.

I never had this trouble with anybody at Kaiser. I continue to have no ussues with Sharp doctors who aren't in the "Rees Stealy" group. It's so bad with SRS, going to a doctor there is like entering the twilight zone.
