The creeping vine holds down her own bewedded elms,
And, wandering out with branches thick, reeds folded overwhelms.
Trees spread their coverts wide

And my heart a little lighter,
For the mellow lights
of memory

Along the trail to you

Until I was about twelve or thirteen years old, I believed that "de under-jordiske" (underground people) existed truly as the people I saw every day. Many people had seen them.

If the birds are making lamentation, or the green banks are moved by a little wind of summer, or you can hear the waters making a stir by the shores that are green and flowery.
That's where I do be stretched out thinking of love

Many violins in Telemark were made from logs which had been seasoned for many years in bogs up in the mountains. It seems that the soft breezes, the songs of birds, and the music of cascades are still echoed in the instruments.

Sometimes it’s hard to see that you’re enough, just like you are.

Remember, just taking care of yourself & pushing through chaos is progress.

You are enough.

Is it a month since I and you
In the starlight of Glen Dubh
Stretched beneath a hazel bough

Till the moon sank tired through the ledge
Of the wet and windy hedge?
And we took the starry lane
Back to Dublin town again

Here the people still told old legends and fairy tales, sang old ballads and played old melodies. The Telers were skilled workers in gold and silver, carvers in wood, manufacturers of ornamental glass, and painters of beautiful decorations.
