TMI but I’m finally taking care of the warts etc on my face (they are swollen oil glands, who knew?) but that means my face is oozy and slimy (stuff is covered in Vaseline to avoid infection)

This advice is important now, and will be even more important in two weeks, when the next administration is going to flood the zone with horribleness, with the intent of overwhelming everyone into compliance. Pick your battles and keep your focus. Trust others are doing the same elsewhere.

More seriously, I’m considering my reading habits for the coming year. I’ve set a goal of 50 books, which is a nice challenge that I’ve cleared a few years in a row. Now I want work on reading books that have lingered on my shelves for years.
