We already have long term storage for nuclear waste. It is engineered, monitored, compact, and tiny compared to the waste streams of every other energy source. Nuclear has the best waste management record in the entire energy sector.

Nuclear power has always been the bedrock of Ukraine's energy system, consistently providing roughly half of the country's power both before and after the start of Russia's full-scale invasion. But beneath this veneer of stability is a sector in flux.

Meet the russian asset who helped sabotage Germany’s future: Gerhard Schröder

As chancellor, he pushed Germany to abandon nuclear energy. He then went to work for russian gas giants. He still defends Putin.

This isn’t just a scandal — it’s a national betrayal

Another piece of good news -- climate solutions are starting to truly scale.

Overall, the growth of solar, wind, nuclear, EVs, and heat pumps alone since 2019 prevents about 2.6 Gt-CO2 per year of global emissions!

That's roughly the same as half the U.S. economy, to put it in perspective.

DOE plans to move forward with the LPO loan to restart the Palisades Nuclear Plant in Michigan. The $57M disbursement is the loan progressing as intended, not a significant change. Palisades is currently expected to restart in late 2025.

DOE green-lights $57M loan to restart Michigan nuclear plant
Nuclear advocates saw the move as a signal the Trump administration will follow through on its pro-nuclear rhetoric.
