We don't use Ai in our games. Ai isn't and hasn't ever been needed been needed to make a good game and CEOs like this don't know what the fuck they are talking about.

They just want to slowly take humans out of the process thinking they can just hit and button and it'll print money.

Gotta love the people who play for 80 hours and then say they don't like it
"If you just want to complete the main story and don't mind a few (reaction-based) mini-games along the way, check this game out"

ID@Xbox is absolutely something every indie dev should apply for. They're good about giving your game free attention and posting about it.

Be warned, players can review your game on the xbox page and they can be harsher than steam if they feel they aren't getting their money's worth.
XBOX Sales: This is something I can't speak on! I would advise reaching out to developers who have had recent (within the last year) releases to get the info straight from the mouths of horses willing to share.

Also: budget three months more time than you think you need for production. Having a buffer in case things slide or you're hit with something unexpected can make a HUGE difference. And if you don't end up needing it, great! But always give yourself and your team the gift of foresight and safety nets

Funding is the barrier for many developers. But a lot of publishers these days aren't offering funding. If you're paying for your own game, you're halfway to self-publishing anyway. It's a lot of work of course, and you still need marketing, but you can do it with planning and organization.

I'm going to start putting together some free info and resources for indie game devs looking to self-publish. I see a lot of people making simple mistakes, and hear a lot about being overwhelmed by what they need to do.

Do folk have specific self-publishing questions they'd want answered?

Completed Final Fantasy Tactics, what a great game - though I think had I continued it originally I would have gotten frustrated and softlocked

Remaster was beautiful and finally glad to beat it after my attempt on the PS1 and PS Vita

In Delivery Issues, you do much more than simply deliver packages. It's a race against time as you meet zany characters, maneuver through obstacles, and take on a mysterious enemy that will make this otherwise easy job rather difficult.
