Try asking them what they think if means and they tend to go very quiet. In their defence, it isn't easy to openly state that you are generally opposed to persecution and inequality.

But again, in direct contrast to his brother, his instinct is always to question things and make sure that he understands and agrees with it before continuing.

Honestly, I *loved* both responses from them, and supported them as such. I love that Twin 1 has such a kind, innocent heart.

Twin 2: "I'm not doing this. I don't know where the money goes and the army does bad things as well". Now, I will confess that I have already been on at them both about critical thinking and when to question information you're being given, so I should perhaps not be surprised here.

Twin 1: "Daddy, can I donate a gold coin from my money box so I can get a poppy? Can I donate FIVE dollars instead?". His instinct was to take the information that this was a good thing at face value, and contribute as much as he could.

Couldn't agree more, mate. It's thoroughly depressing. He could be prime Beckenbauer and I'd not want him. As it is, we're seemingly happy to sell our morals for average, and that really does sap enthusiasm for all of it.
