I suspect our tabby is a crossbreed; my parents had multiple Burmese cats when I was growing up, and I’ve had several tabby cats over the years.
None of the tabbies ever vocalised like this, which starts around 4:30pm every day and continues every few minutes until 6:30pm (and dinner).

According to the two posts, the "tiny kitten was found trembling in the cold", but according to the GFM, the organiser saw the kitten hit by a car.

A fun* thing about being autistic is that I have a weird relationship with pain. When I saw this many years ago, I saved it because I was finally able to relate “How is the pain on a scale of 1 to 10?” to what I was actually experiencing.
