jfc, my dad got covid from someone who wasn't masked in a dr's office waiting room. does this guy think my dad, who has copd, should just not go to the dr's office??

I got lucky w my dentist, bc I react to whatever they use... for about five minutes, so my dentist just doesn't wait and keeps the anesthetic on hand to top up. ever since we figured that out, my dental health has gotten so much better

the benadryl headache is one of the worst headaches in existence. but sometimes you have to decide if you'd rather deal w/ mast cell shit or the headache from hell, and sometimes the mast cell fuckery is worse

btb doesn't retraumatize victims and their families, tho. true crime does by its very nature. the larger discussion about the genre is full of ppl talking about how painful it is that their loved one's death became fodder for other ppl's entertainment and the harassment they got bc of it

you didn't imply that at all, but queer cassandra seems to be reacting to misogyny from other parts of the conversation around true crime, and they aren't wrong to notice that, but it's not the entire picture

they can be! but a good documentary isn't made when the initial investigation is still happening, and there are generally greater legal protections so that ppl directly impacted by the tragedy can opt out. these podcasts don't have that same protection for victims and families, and there's an (cont)

People really need to start working the polls more. It's the best way to learn how it all works. And get a bit of the behind the scenes of the massive logistics needed to put on an election. There's a reason elections are done the way they are:

I don't think you understand that what you've been doing is defamation. kathryn has a claim she could make against you. she could file suit, and the facts are not on your side. now, a jury would likely award her only nominal damages, but getting that far would be enough to leave most ppl destitute
