Any birding plans for this weekend?

Another late migrant is the Yellow-bellied Flycatcher, one of the last flycatchers to move through eastern North America. Peak migration for this uncommon Empidonax is late May into June. It breeds in boreal bogs and forests and takes its time getting there!

A river flows over a 317 foot cliff creating a spectacular waterfall with lots of mist which that generates a beautiful rainbow. Tiny specks which are people visible next to the brink. Pine trees line both sides of the waterfall.

Reminder, if you can’t keep your hummingbird feeder clean, just put it away. Fungus forming in the sugar water can be lethal to hummingbirds. Plant flowers instead. Even a pot of red salvia is popular.
