Katherine Palmer was the Paleontological Research Institution's 2nd director, and the first woman to receive the Paleontological Society Medal, American paleontology’s highest honor. Today PRI's primary research building is named Palmer Hall.

The bigots in charge are using this as their chance to push out every queer (esp trans), non-white, and disabled person in science that they can. White cis women shouldn't hold their breath either.
