Oh they fired me a couple of years ago. I just understand what was meant by this statement. There are a lot of long-term care facilities and medical supply companies for DME that are trying to scam the government out of a lot of money through fraudulent medical claims. I worked there for 5+ yrs.

Whitty is talking about their efforts to mitigate Fraud, Waste and Abuse of Medicaid and Medicaid dollars. The claims Thompson's division paid were with federal and state money by government rules
