I remember going to school the day after this aired and comparing notes on whose parents let them watch this TV-MA episode. It was one of those cultural zeitgeist moments that, looking back, feels wholesome.
I hope my kids have such easy memories of subversion.

This film has an amazing cast and the people they got to be in it are pretty good too. Made when they hadn’t quite perfected the formula yet, so the kills are shaggy and veer between Rube Goldbergesque and watching a portly shadow swing an oar a la Psycho stab. Schlock in the best way

Maybe more like C or E-Movie, but all the more charming for it. What if a bad acid trip made your friend think you and all your friends were zombies, but also, what if it turned out it was a dud batch? Evil Dead meets Clerks meets True Romance.

Werewolf films are not my jam. I generally have a hard time connecting with the allegories (compared to vampires or zombies, for example) when the wolf is empathetic and when they’re the monster of the week as in Howl (which is quite fun) any other monster would have worked just as well.
