This could have been Joe Biden’s legacy and should have been a large part of Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign promises.
The hostage release is a reminder of how bad the Dems are at politics. Not only did Biden refuse to force this deal on Netanyahu & thereby help Harris win, but most people aren’t even aware that Biden got way more Israeli hostages (over 100) released with his 2023 ceasefire than Trump did with his.

People changing their mind and speaking out on the horrors of Gaza is a good thing. But if a person “changing their mind” is in power, and they do not subsequently use that power in accordance with the seriousness of the new conclusion they have arrived at, then that’s a problem.

As Omar says here, there is no excuse even for providing “defensive” weapons to a military you believe is committing a genocide. AOC has accurately said it is a genocide. The moral logic requires sanctions, not new weapons, however defensive they are said to be
