No essential services should be private
“What should be on the agenda is nationalising essential services — bringing them back under public control & out of the hands of profit-hungry corporations.”
But that would mean the selfish duopoly no longer having a steady stream of cushy jobs.

I honestly don’t care about James Comey.

But I want to live in a democratic republic.

His indictment proves we live in a banana republic, where the autocrat personally orders indictments of his political enemies, and when his own officials refuse he finds new ones that will.

AUKUS is that 3am Wondermop you bought in 9 easy payments. You wake up from your drunken stupor & instead of using the cancel anytime option to invest in strengthening your regional relationships, you still buy the mop because you’re afraid your husband Rupert will call you weak on national security

Rewilding sees wildlife rebound in Hackney Marshes: how a local community has managed to spectacularly reverse nature loss.

Communities everywhere could be doing the same, reconnecting and empowering themselves AND nature, on so many levels.

The ABC continuing their recent practice of punching themselves publicly in the head.

For an organisation dedicated to avoiding any or all controversy at all costs, this has to be one of the greatest own goals in the Australian national broadcaster's history.

Who is pushing this?

IMPORTANT: If you live in the United States or Canada, you’ve probably heard Trump‘s constant claim that the United States is “subsidizing” Canada. It’s wrong of course, but here’s the best explanation I’ve seen about how & why it’s wrong. PLEASE WATCH & SHARE IT A LOT. Kudos to Andrew Chang & CBC.

This amazing plant can clothe us, feed us, house us, medicate us and fuel us.

It should not be illegal.

It should never have been demonised & stigmatised, so many ppl are missing out on low-cost, homegrown health benefits.

We need to get the cannabis seed trade moving

Questions like this won’t get me an invite to #AUKUS Friday drinks.

But …

Name one program undertaken by any previous Australian Govt’s that ceded our sovereignty, cost so much money & had a clause where the supplier didn’t even have to deliver the product, if they didn’t want to? 🤔🤔🤔

AUKUS will cost $375 billion.

That is a crazy amount of money. If the Govt. was to pay $1 million every day, it would take over 1000 years to get $375 billion.

Think of all the things that need $1 million: your local school or hospital. The government decided to spend it on nuclear subs instead.

Prince Harry has won a “monumental” victory against Rupert Murdoch’s British tabloids. But is that the end of the story?
Prince Harry's settlement with Murdoch's UK tabloids isn't the end of the story
A key revelation from the end of this London High Court drama is that it may be a stepping stone in pursuing legal charges.
