It's rather on the old side now, but have you read Amusing Ourselves to Death, by Neil Postman?
My reference pool is small, so my first thought was "oh no, not Borges!" so (despite him dying well before the advent of social media), I had to look up his thoughts on Judaism, and whether he'd be considered a white Argentinian, and Google was NOT HELPFUL in the silliest way possible...

Friends, we live in a world beset with misunderstandings, misapprehensions, fanaticism and fear.
The issue: communication. Daily, people struggle to express themselves. This failure stems from gaps in our lexicographical toolbox.
Today, I propose one tool to fill such gaps: the hemicolon.

I think I'm going to spend some time playing around with color and geometric shapes. It's gonna be basic bitch work for a while while I figure out what I want to do with it, but it should be fun for me, at least, and all practice is good practice.

Coming together conceptually. Still need to make some decisions on scoring, and I'm not sure if has appeal beyond my own personal brain quirks, but it's still a thing I'll be able to put out into the world soon.
