AI babysitters will be the new AI but it will be poorly paid human beings.

I mean, ideally.

Healthcare is becoming more ideological. This week’s stories show how, and why it isn’t just an American problem.

Ok.

Then let it die.

Because theft is theft.

And even worse if you’re profiting from the crime.

Really incredible to have CTV, an entire broadcast news outlet, say they 'don't have the bandwidth' to deal with the type of harassment that Rachel Gilmore deals with as an individual journalist all the time.
NEW: CTV cancelled a fact-checking segment in response to political pressure from Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives

An audio recording obtained by PressProgress shows CTV cancelled an ‘election misinformation’ segment with journalist Rachel Gilmore after online backlash from conservatives

Instead of progress bars or beach balls or spirals to let you know when they were working, '80s computers had massive disk drives that sounded like they were grinding the information into the surface every time you asked them for something.

Programming on emulators just isn't the same.

When I really think about it, the idea that matter is an object doesn't make much sense after all.

Lateral space is the new all the other spaces.

My TRS-80 CoCo Canyon Drop game where you descend an ever narrowing canyon before being crushed between the two walls is a kind of metaphor for the times I suppose. But this kind of nostalgia seems harmless unlike the kind that strips human rights and degrades civil society.

'... the former Bank of Canada governor in a statement Monday night. "Every dollar raised by Canadian tariffs should be used to help support Canadian workers through this fight."'

What horseshit. Canadian capitalists are going to use all this to squash progress on labour across the board.

Yo, something important: abusers will defend another abusers' actions, even if they don't know them personally.

I could write a LOT on this, but it's worth noting that alone. If people don't have the reaction that you expect when you need support, then they likely aren't your people.
