Just last week someone told me Trump would never shut down USAID because it buys so much US grain and I said, "I wonder if he knows that"
If only experts existed who could warn Americans repeatedly that foreign aid is money spent to pay Americans and buy things from Americans but no one's ever said it out loud so who can blame people for not understanding
U.S. businesses that sold goods and services to USAID are in limbo, including American farms dealing in rice, wheat and soybeans purchased as food aid.

Maybe Think Of It This Way: The anti-vaxxers are fond of saying that they don’t want to forbid or do away with vaccines like polio and smallpox; that they’ll still be available. That misleads from the actual point.

Christians,

If you’re celebrating mass deportations of distraught, exhausted human beings seeking refuge, you probably shouldn't be sweetly singing about a baby with "no crib for a bed."

“After spending millions of taxpayer dollars to send South Dakota National Guard soldiers to the Mexico border, Noem did not deploy them to help prepare for the flood or cope with its aftermath.” www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...
Is Kristi Noem ready to run FEMA? South Dakota flood victims doubt it.
Trump has picked Noem as Homeland Security secretary, a job that includes overseeing FEMA. But some residents of her home state say she bungled the response to June floods.
