Farm workers stand in solidarity with striking Starbucks workers.

Starbucks baristas have been fighting for a fair union contract for close to 4 years. Just like many farm workers, @sbworkersunited.org is fighting back against greedy union busting employers.

On Black Friday, Starbucks workers expanded their ULP strike to 85+ cities.

Now, just 6 days later, the strike is growing AGAIN.

Even “affordable” rentals are too expensive for Portlanders, yet landlords refuse to lower costs and help keep us housed.

We’re in a Renters’ State of Emergency, and it’s time to take action and enact policies that benefit working class people, not the wealthy.

The wealthy set wages, rig employment levels, create job requirements, and put a price on necessities then blame poor people when they can’t afford necessities and can’t find jobs.

It’s not about finding a better job, it’s about stopping working class exploitation.

SNAP modifications that increase work requirements for “able-bodied adults” will impact 62K Oregonians. Being “able-bodied” doesn’t equate to work opportunity or guarantee a living wage. It only serves to continue to punish poor people for being poor.
