Time for Framce to announce its new stance
⚡️Germany shifts stance on frozen Russian funds, now supports use for Ukraine, Bloomberg reports.

Berlin's previously cautious position on seizing the assets has shifted, partly due to fears that if the U.S. withdraws aid to Ukraine, the burden will fall disproportionately on Berlin.

I wasn’t expecting to still be talking about the Epstein Files, but Trump put it back on the top of the news with a rant for the ages that even his MAGA followers are calling B.S. on. Why has this issue stuck on Teflon Don when nothing else seems to? My write-up in the replies.

Very true.
Iran's foreign policy has been aggressive and expansive for decades.
Iran is a mid-sized power that intervenes violently, through proxies, in the affairs of a good half dozen countries in its region.
An agitated and deeply stupid revolutionary government, fit for the dustbin of history.
You know what would have offered Iran much better protection than nuclear weapons? Having a reasonable (non-aggressive) policy toward its neighbors.

The standoff continues

Some believe that Opus Dei has been waiting for Francis to pass away – in the hope that his successor won’t push them to reform

Francis responded by seizing an Opus Dei shrine

Agree with @andersostlund.bsky.social - unless Copenhagen prefers to do this alone, friends of Denmark should offer to be in the room (whether Trump likes it or not).
For my part, I wish the UK would offer itself as a moderating factor on the US in US-Denmark talks.

In Trump's "clever" reasoning, one can:

- screw Ukraine and keep trust with other Eastern European states
- screw Denmark and keep trust with other Western European states
- screw Canada and keep trust with other Anglosphere states

I don't see how this can work.
They don't burn down bridges just with Denmark if they take Greenland. They burn down bridges with every single democratic country in the world.
