This has been floating around in my head all week, so I decided to make it. Enjoy #ADVENT2a

We had five visitors at church this morning! Which was equal to the number of regular attendees that were there. New faces are always a blessing #smallchurch

Was once again reminded today that not everyone has heard that they are Beloved children of God. I'm here to tell you or to remind you:

You are Beloved. You are Enough. You are Cherished. You are Worthy.

Yes, you.

Not because of anything you have done or will do. Just because you are.

I didn’t know until now that in the original Rosie the Riveter painting, she is crushing a copy of Mein Kampf under her foot. Happy feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary, remembering all the women who crush the serpents of Satan under their heel.

Preached my first Sunday at my new assignment today and was gifted the fresh-cut altar flowers that one of my parishioners arranged 🥰

This is what America is doing right now. Detaining people for indefinite periods in tents in the Everglades in the Summer that are not hurricane or flood proof. This is a concentration camp by definition. It is institutionalized cruelty. ⚓️

Last night I met with our church's PPRC and a DCOM member to be certified as a candidate for ministry in the UMC. After I left the room so they could deliberate, a bat appeared from wherever it had presumably been sleeping the entire time and started flying around the (rather small) meeting room 😬

Know your rights before you hit the streets. Peaceful protest is protected — but only if you know how to protect yourself legally. Read, share, and stay safe.

Leaving these here for no reason. I'm sure no-one here would need this information in the near future. *cough*

“I was hungry” and you cut SNAP.

“I was thirsty” and you cut funding to ensure clean water.

“I was sick” and you cut medicaid.

“I was a stranger” and you deported me.

“I was in prison” and you just left me there to rot.

“Whatever you do to the least of these, you do unto me.”-Jesus

Looking for graduation gift recommendations for a couple of high schoolers from our church. Does anyone have a favorite book or gift that they give out to the seniors from their church?

HAPPY TAX DAY!
How much would you spend on a year of tornado warnings? The average US taxpayer spends only $4 a year to help fund the NWS. It’s a smart investment—every $1 invested in NWS yields approx. $73 in social benefits.
🌪️❄️ Support science. Support the NWS.

I will always support the independence and autonomy of my Canadian neighbors. Using economic threats to pursue annexation is immoral. I believe in liberty and justice, not in “America first.” I support any actions taken by Canada in defense of such values and oppose any taken by America against them
