Remember: Almost all of us are the descendants of immigrants who fled persecution, or were brought to America under duress, or sought better lives for themselves and their descendants.

Politicians who stoke fear and hatred over immigration want you to forget this.

Do not.

Mike Johnson closed the House down early to avoid a vote on extending ACA tax credits. Nice try, Mike—all that does is give us more time to rally up support.

Let's get loud as hell, folks, and make sure every member of Congress knows where we stand:

President Clinton is right. This is not getting as much attnetion as it should. The USA under Trumpstein is betraying this promise, which means any agreement involving Russia and the USA is not worth the paper it’s written on 🤷‍♂️ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budapes...

This is why Johnson sent the Congress home during the Shutdown for 54 days, nearly 8 weeks, so the FBI would have time to redact Trumps name from the Epstein files.
What a joke !

After the first canceled monthly jobs report in decades, we finally got updated numbers about Trump's economy – and they don’t look good for the American people.

Donald Trump’s chaotic tariffs and failed economic policies are hammering the labor market and harming workers.

A key complaint about DEI is that it rejects meritocracy. MAGA hypocrisy is on obvious display in the amateurish qualifications of those Trump has put in Cabinet positions. Merit in these individuals was ignored.

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar's son was pulled over by ICE and forced to prove he is an American.

Two options:

1) ICE deliberately targeted him.

2) ICE is stopping all non-White people without any probable cause and forcing them to prove they are citizens.

Hard to say which option is scarier.

In just a month, 10,000 people in MA dropped their health insurance. That's 2x more than last year.

10,000 mommas, grandpas, aunts, neighbors, and friends who looked at their bill and said "I can't do this."

Because Republicans won’t lift a finger to lower health care costs.

The give the money to the consumers seems to be the Republican health care plan. This makes no sense to me. Insurance for many is a hedge against catastrophe where many illnesses or an accident would wipe individuals out. A few thousand dollars makes no difference.

Walmart and McDonald’s are among the top employers of workers who rely on food stamps.

McDonald's CEO raked in $18.2M last year — over 1,000x the company's median employee pay.

Walmart's CEO pocketed $27.4M — 930x the company's median employee pay.

Immigrants pay taxes.

Immigrants contribute over $2 trillion to the U.S. economy.

The problem isn't immigrants.

The Epstein issue seems such a powerful example of a core problem in this country. Wealth and the associations among the wealthy seem to function outside of the normal rules that guide the rest of us and yet have such a great general influence.

So weird how all these things - superduper pardon power, total immunity, no birthright citizenship - didn’t seem to exist in the Constitution until the One True Leader Trump was elected; suddenly they find all these things that’d never apply to a Democrat President
"The problem here is that some of Trump’s strongest soldiers got jammed up in state court, and neither Trump or Martin can stand the fact Trump can’t reach down and erase those convictions. So Martin is finding creative ways to shred the Constitution."
Ed Martin's peculiar view of pardon power
Trump's pardon attorney is very confused about how pardons work.
