liberalism is going to require something martial and vicious and somewhat fanatic if we want it to survive. it won't be the liberalism we grew up with. it will be an uglier, harder thing for an uglier, harder world.

Absolutely. It is an entire few blocks of clothing stores, mostly, at this point. 16 & Valencia is a slightly different vibe and a bit less touristy, but both are great. I do end up in the Haight a lot.

- The Cable Car Museum is free, and small, a neat summary of SF history. Also, you can see the mechanism that pulls the cable car.
- The Exploratorium? Academy of Sciences? Those are fine.
- Japanese food: Volcano Curry? + Sunset Dunes park
- The Mission thrift scene is surprisingly happening.

That's grossly inconsistent with recent history.

For example: US businesses were forced to leave Russia because Russia was kicked out of SWIFT, by the US. We didn't "attack Russia because they kicked out our businesses". It's the opposite.

Zelenskyy's character can be judge more directly by how he treats others and whether you think he's protected his country. From what I've seen, he has treated Americans with respect. His attire is to remind people he's at war, not unlike Churchill wearing a siren suit to the White House in 1942.

a controversial decision can irritate some chunk of the regulars, even, but since there is a steady flow of people in, the community doesn't need full consensus of literally everyone to maintain its standards! (Unlike a private discord, for example)

This is good actually!
