Saw a good short concert by the 이삼수 브라스밴드 ("Lee Sam-soo Brass Band") at a local park today. They played a handful of familiar jazz songs, but the real standout (and our son's favourite) was Maceo Parker's "Shake Everything You Got." We almost skipped it but ended up glad that I insisted on going!

My poor phone is set to English, so when it tries to transcribe typical Korean-language robocaller voice messages, the texts it comes up with are bananas.

(Bonus: they were kids. So Yeon, Se Yeon, and Ji Hyun sat together, in that order. One day another kid realized the first syllables of their names spelled out "소/세/지" (which is one of a few Koreanizations of the English word "sausage"). They got sooooo mad, ha! Never sat in that order again.)

I was assuming it wouldn't be on Korean Netflix, since it was "controversial" (and IIRC, even banned for a while here) back in the day, but nope. I see it as "coming soon" on my Korean Netflix account...

So, my Aerophone (an AE-30) is definitely the most comfortable electronic wind instrument I've owned, but I do wonder what the reasoning is for the fins on either side. Sometimes I feel like wind controller makers are competing for "most likely to appear in the Star Wars cantina band" or something.
