Just doing my best ✨
Sad to hear of Tom Robbins passing. Finding his books in HS helped shape my worldview. His playfulness and seriously unserious politic inspire still today. I say to Nina all the time “I love you for free” a line from Still Life With Woodpecker.

What we are seeing today is the culmination of decades of hard work by the far right (fascist) and, honestly, evangelicals/cult like Christian organizations. Nazis never went away, they went into hiding and emerged rebranded. And with a lot of work, they could call themselves what they always were.

16 Democratic senators recently voted to confirm the Trump-appointed Treasury Secretary who just gave Musk’s team access to a Treasury payment system that disburses trillions and holds mass quantities of personal information. Food for thought. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...

One of the best things you can do right now is read books. Buy them. Borrow them from the library. Gift them.

Read history. Read fiction. Read science writing. Read anything that shows you the world is bigger than what fascists say it is.

Read to remember why your resistance matters. 📚💙

They are purposely destabilizing the government to declare a state of emergency. Just FYI!

“Laila was the joy of the house.”

The funeral of two-year-old Palestinian Laila al-Khatib, who was killed by an Israeli sniper while eating at home, was held in Jenin, occupied West Bank.
