guys you have no idea how many times i got stuck on those stairs. i would fall thru the geometry or freeze in place. and then my last save was like four hours prior. many crash outs occurred back in 2018/2019. it wasn’t just stairs, but it was mostly stairs.

warhorse were super ambitious with their cutscenes in kcd1 on their comparatively small budget. kcd1 was jank in so many many ways, but the cutscenes were so theatrical and fun that i was like, “oh this game fucking rules,” and it kept me going after my 50th staircase glitch

hans: "what about weapons?"

my henry, handing him the best in his arsenal while giving hans a kiss on the forehead: "Here, my love."

brabant: "and moi?"

henry, throwing a stick ten feet away: "HERE, damn."

henry takes self-sacrifice for his loved ones to at times an unhealthy level & hans gets really nasty when he feels his relationship with henry might be threatened by other people (it’s all in his head).

it makes them devoted to each other and adds interest & humor to their dynamic but i can totally see this being a point of contention later down the line, perhaps when stakes get higher in kcd3 — since we know what happens to alliances, historically.

i surprise her by catching her eye. looking at her. *truly* looking at her as no man has ever bothered to before. not even her cruel husband. the moment passes & i rise to pick up the fallen pitcher of wine. before i leave, i look back, only to find my lady looking back me.

i'd fumble a bit, kneel down trying to minimize to the damage to the expensive fabric, but my lady places her hand on my shoulder and assures its okay. she has frocks a-plenty she says. and, subtly, i'd put my hand over hers and say she must be a lovely sight in all of them.

i'd initially enter the household as a simple serving boy until one day as i was pouring wine into my lady's cup, her lord husband (in his usual fit of rage) suddenly rises from the banquet table causing me to spill wine onto my lady's beautiful blue brocade dress

hans has been noted to be really accurate as evidenced by the poacher quest + even-headed enough to fight with a bow during battle. also, with the muscle strength gained from all that archery i know he throws deadly punches. he knocked out a guard in the beginning with ONE hit

imagine you're hans. you had some of the best archery and military training available for your time. you have never had a subordinate question you. yet here comes this peasant boy, totally disregarding class order and BEATING you at your BEST SKILL? oh, hans never stood a chance.

i personally don't think henry getting knighted is a good idea BUT if this happens then im all for it. bye, im a giant sap.
