At this point, whatever someone does while they're pregnant or just after giving birth, I'm going to assume they had their reasons.

I was born in 1984. I want people younger than me to know that when Columbine happened I was in 9th grade and it felt like a big deal. Like, there wasn't legislative change obviously, but people had the ability to act like it was shocking.

I want my daughter to be an elder within the disabled community. We don't get many elders. Eugenics and lack of medical care see to that.

I think this is the most prolonged/accute anxiety I've felt in my life. I'm really understanding what people see in horror movies as a genre. Like I could enjoy them periodically before, but now I'm *getting* the appeal

Man, I was feeling nostalgic for a 2024 yesterday so I posted a silly quip on my FB. Immediate regret when someone earnestly took it as a discussion prompt.

I get why people are embarrassed by Trump. I'm kind of lucky though because I had a dad who drank a lot, so I'm inoculated against feeling ashamed when men act like fools.

It's def going to get us killed tho.

“We had to erase trans people or we couldn’t get our federal funding”

Fuck the federal funding. You fight, you sue, you do not become complicit in our mass erasure.

We are all in this together, and we all go down together.

I will not allow us to be jettisoned or erased.
FWIW, the choice was scrubbing their website or potentially closing down because their funding was turned off. Sure they could have sued, but what then?
This is a stunning betrayal by Whitman Walker in DC.

You CANNOT jettison the trans community to protect yourself.

It’s shameful. I got my name changed at WWH. I have promoted their research.

Now they are capitulating to save gay people at trans people’s expense by trying to erase us.

I try to not exclusively write about my distaste for this end game of fascism we're all stewing in. Wu-Ta g taught me to diversify.

But don't fret, I'm still aware that everything is going to be very bad for all of us for the next few forevers.

Today is the first online learning snow day my kid has had. She is scandalized that back in my day we had to make up days in the summer.

The best thing about homework for your first grader is that you can really firm up the information you didn't pay attention to 30 years ago when it comes to diagramming a sentence.

If we survive all this, let's set an alarm in our hearts to always be truthful that we all knew the plans from the start and anyone who says differently is a liar. A big old phony.

I just tried to call out that I figured out that we were in the Bad Place.

No dice.

Today my Grandmother would have been 118. She would have been horrified by all of this.

I've started telling the truth when people ask me how I am. It really fucks with my friends parents.

The trans community is better at keeping Trump’s promises than he is.

This community has more cheap eggs than anyone could ever need.

Community building is inherently an acceptance that you're going to have to sacrifice a degree of comfort. So don't feel bad if you make a bigot uncomfortable when working for your community as a whole.❤️
