Living my best life at the Edelman Fossil Park & Museum
Had so much fun making these brooms for the museums cafe. What’s even better is that the brush is made from a very invasive plant we have on the property!

Every night my daughter and I decide where we are gonna meet each other in our dreams and tonight she decided it would be a library on a beach that has a lazy river winding through the aisles so you could grab a book and read while you are still in the tube… I’ve never been more proud!

They're tiny, blobby, butt-shaped, and glow in the dark. What the heck are they? Scientists are still figuring them out.

Today I'm thinking about how I shared a photo of a blacktip shark that had been bitten in half by a tiger shark, and someone on the internet yelled at me for taking a photo instead of helping to save the blacktip shark.

My dude

Half of it was *NOT THERE*.

Even I have my limits!

Listening to @restingdinoface.bsky.social new book on this gloomy day was the best decision today. Why be in this timeline when I could travel back to the lush green cretaceous instead?

Any #naturalists or #entomologists out there know what these small rocks in goo on the big rocks are. I found them in our museum parking lot and am not sure what it is. There are more like this too.

Stay strong. For us, this is more than just a job-it’s a calling. Together, we will stand to protect our parks, environment, and wildlife. Four years… we remain hopeful that the attack on our public lands will be less brutal this time.

Throwback to last year when my daughter chose our tree because it has so much lichen on it!

Never knew what these were!
Today's Gardening Advice: This is the home of a Bagworm. They are often found on arborvitae, cypress, and chamaecyparis. Heavy infestations cause lots of browning all over impacted plants. The coating is made from the host plant's scale like foliage. Easier to spot in fall. 🌱

Why did sauropods keep getting dino-swole?

We know a bit about what allowed dinosaurs to attain enormous sizes but less about what drove the repeated evolution of dinosaur giants. I'll tell you more at @popsci.bsky.social
The mystery of why some dinosaurs got so enormous
Dinosaurs like sauropods and theropods kept growing bigger. We sort of know how thanks to fossils, but why?
