Johnson. Hancock. Cummings. Gove. Raab. Coffey. Javid. Leadsom. Sunak. Williamson. Kwarteng. Truss. Shapps. Tens of thousands dead as a result of their collective failures, and hundreds of thousands of lives wrecked. Never forget. Never forgive.

This is grotesque. Before trial they are accused. They are not yet criminals. Taking away jury trials because they are criminals is a presumption of guilt and it is profoundly wrong and unjust.

Complete list of people who do not consider the german swastika a hate symbol:
-Nazis
The U.S. Coast Guard will no longer classify the swastika, an emblem of fascism and white supremacy, as a hate symbol. Instead, the Coast Guard will classify the Nazi-era insignia as “potentially divisive” under its new guidelines.

The Covid Inquiry finds that if Boris Johnson had called the first lockdown even one week earlier then it could have saved at least 20,000 lives.

Here's a quick reminder of what Johnson was actually doing during those weeks

The 750-page document also has stinging criticism of “toxic and chaotic” culture inside Boris Johnson’s Downing Street – which it said the then PM. actively embraced – in which loudest voices held sway and women were sidelined.

Those who followed me on the other place will concur with the following statement. Told you so. I did the maths.
BREAKING: The UK’s response to Covid was “too little, too late”, a damning official report on the handling of the pandemic has concluded, saying the introduction of a lockdown even a week earlier than happened could have saved more than 20,000 lives.

This is... Well its complicated. The basic notion that polio isn't that bad is nonsense. But its not THAT simple... (1)
Even in the house of horrors that is vaccine-preventable illnesses, polio stands out as particularly terrifying.

But the darker chapters of public health history do not seem to faze anti-vaccine activists. Now, it’s polio’s turn to be downplayed.
The anti-vax movement's wildest claim yet: Polio wasn't so bad
Add this to vaccines make you magnetic, cause AIDS, and measles is not a big deal.

Got to make sure I've got all the stuff for making my annual panettone. It's all @rogger.bsky.social fault, I used to make it once every few Christmases but his blog about it changed that. I've adapted his recipe rather a lot since, his is still very fine.

He got it out his car and started assaulting me. Fortunately I'm retired judo player so threw him to the ground and...

Trump is conspiring with Putin to sell out Ukraine – and the security of the whole of Europe along with it.

The Prime Minister must convene the Coalition of the Willing to stop this betrayal in its tracks.
New: I can confirm hasty US-Russia proposal being pushed to Ukrainians via Dmitriev-Witkoff to Umerov. It would amount to Ukraine’s capitulation, with people familiar saying it’s Kremlin’s maximalist demands.
-Ukraine army cut 1/2
-Give up certain weapons
-Give up Donbas
-Zelensky displeased
