Parker Molloy nails it in their explanation of why we need better reporting on chatbot errors. My heart ❤️ & 🧠 ache every time I see the word “hallucination” instead of “chatbot factual error.” Journalists: I believe in you and know you can do better!

Stop Pretending Chatbots Have Feelings: Media's Dangerous AI Anthropomorphism Problem
When AI causes harm, headlines blame the bot instead of the billion-dollar companies that built them. This anthropomorphic coverage is tech journalism at its worst.

“The United States itself is at risk of being turned into a military dictatorship. Its liberal-democratic institutions have all but crumbled. The Founders’ experiment may be coming to an end. War with Iran is likely to hasten its demise.” www.theatlantic.com/internationa...
American Democracy Might Not Survive a War With Iran
The United States is well down the road to dictatorship. Imagine what Trump would do with a state of war.

I recently paid $42 for 2 beers at a Wizards game. That's insane! Luckily, there's a solution to this kind of price gouging in the form of "street pricing" policies where publicly financed stadiums & airports are only allowed to charge a comparable amount to what you'd pay outside the venue.
Happy Opening Day!

At the @nationals.com opener, a beer, Cracker Jacks, and a hot dog runs $30. The owners are worth $6 billion and DC taxpayers paid for the stadium.

It shouldn’t be this way. Public subsidy should come with public benefit.

“Street pricing” requirements would be both pro-consumer and pro-business.

X has ~18m daily USA users. @bsky.app, ~1.5m.

Is it worth 20 MINS a day to proactively recruit and bring your friends, neighbors, relatives, businesses, anyone who is or could be a user, to @bsky.app?

If Bluesky ends up with more users than the others, you destabilize musk, zuck, trump.

Protecting IRS funding also forces tax cheats to contribute their share: “Providing the IRS with enough funds to enforce our nation’s tax code isn’t just about fairness and revenue. It’s also vital to the efficiency and productivity of our economy.”
Opinion: The IRS faces more cuts under Trump. Here are three ways that could hurt the economy
Donald Trump's election with Republican majorities in Congress likely means less funding for tax enforcement. That will hurt economic productivity and efficiency.

So @dahlialithwick.bsky.social nails it: “We can continue to direct our fury & umbrage at the clickbait corporate media & the social media…algorithms that have built the bubbles. Or we can ask ourselves what matters to us, & why we aren’t seeing it & how we might find it.” slate.com/business/202...
