This seems problematic for a route that’s supposed to come every 15 minutes…. @cityofwinnipeg.bsky.social

I'm sharing an image a day to celebrate the culture and history of Canada.
Today, it is the Battle of Queenston Heights on Oct. 13, 1812. Despite being outnumbered 3-1, the Canadians and British won the battle against the United States.

Poilievre will try to eliminate Canada's $10/day childcare. Is this what we want 🇨🇦 ?
#NeverVoteConservative
At its peak (newborn & toddler) our monthly daycare costs for 2 kids were over 2x more than our mortgage… at very middle of the road YMCA-style centers (not fancy places).

We spent $200k total in childcare costs before kindergarten & there’s still summer care & before/after school care.

1/2
But they still think housing costs about the same as it did the last time they really paid attention to such things which was, at latest, the 09 financial crisis.

Same with child care. When I told him the bilingual daycare by our houses was $1800 a month he straight up didn’t believe me.

This is making my GenX heart feel full of nostalgia. I can almost feel those plastic beaded jump ropes hitting my shins.

I love all the seasons in Manitoba, but the point where the start of winter touches the edges of fall is a particularly lovely place
