Slowly forming an idea that much of What's Wrong With the Social Internet is an inability of some folks to distinguish between different categories of opinions.
A lot of benign things (like preference or idiosyncrasies) get responded to as if there's a right and wrong when... there just isn't.

The conspiracy machine on Xitter has gone into overdrive on the Liverpool parade incident. Apparently, the notion that a coked-up white dude followed an ambulance through a cordon onto a closed street, causing havoc, is much less likely than MI5 attacking random Liverpool fans including babies...
