I've used the word twice in the past month, so out of curiosity I looked up what the hell "milquetoast" actually was, and why we adopted it to mean what we did. Turns out it was a person. Huh.

Well that was almost a catastrophe, both my phone alarms were off from Friday. Good thing I still set my alarm clock most days.

Anyway, I woke up at like ten thirty and was thinking I would eventually go back to sleep for an hour or so, but clearly I'm not gonna do that. So I guess I should probably get up.

Just saw the trailer for the sequel to Control. I'm wary of a post apocalyptic theme, they're kind of tired at this point, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

What a miserable day it seems to be outside. I don't think I'm gonna leave the house today.

You always take a chance ordering an acai bowl in Japan these days because you might get some oddly tiny little thing at the same ludicrous price other places charge. Today's bowl though, is actually solid.

I dunno what anyone else expected, but I've been quite enjoying #theouterworlds2 because it is very much like the first one in most of the ways that count. Sure the companions are nowhere near as endearing, but the writing is as amusing as ever, and the anti-capitalist tone is still going strong.

I bought some cheap "market wine" at the supermarket earlier, and honestly, it's not bad for being 1000yen supermarket wine. I chose it because it's a Japanese wine, which honestly I can't say I've ever tried.
It's made by these guys, apparently.

That wind out there is evil, evil I tell you.
Blown in straight from Beelzebub's taint, it was.

Fucking cold out there. All I did was walk to the store and I already regret it.

I should probably get out of bed sometime soon.
Taking today off was the right call.

Currently dealing with an insane request from the management side. Like I am struggling to comprehend the thought process that led to it. And if I were to actually do what they're asking, it would be Malicious Compliance of the worst order.

Imagine if we lived in a society that actually valued human life. Hard to even fathom, really.

This iconic Fabian Todorovic cartoon is still one of the best I’ve seen at illustrating the remarkable amount of space we surrender to cars, leaving little space left for everyone and everything else. The text added later makes the bonus point that many drivers still manage to complain about it.
