Goal number 100 from Chychrun puts the Caps back out in front by two. And on the power play no less. This is just a straight up good game all around (so far) which we are very much not used to seeing. #ALLCAPS

Chisholm and Chychrun (fun name combo) bump into and disrupt each other's defense (not fun), and Nik Ehlers comes in to score when LT can't do anything about it. The two-goal lead becomes a 2-1 close game just like that. #ALLCAPS

A melee I was hoping wouldn't break out tonight but of course did. Thompson and Andersen almost went too, which would have at least been awesome, but the refs suck so not only was that killed but the Canes go on the power play after causing and escalating everything. #ALLCAPS

The third period was pretty aggressive on both sides, with lots of hitting and back-and-forth talk, all culminating in Chychrun getting hit, retaliating, getting hit, retaliating, and then getting into it with Černák, which is generally not a fun thing to do. Unnecessary escalation from TBL.

Brandon Hagel does a Brandon Hagel thing and beats everybody, including LT, to get Tampa Bay the lead. It's 3-2 with plenty of time left to change that. #ALLCAPS

The Washington Capitals remember who they are (and then some) and defeat the St. Louis Blues 6-1. Pretty surreal for the first game I attend this season to be the OT win and the second to be this. I feel like I need to come more often. #ALLCAPS
