I actually bought a pair of those from a comic once. Surprise surprise they were as pointless as the sea monkeys you could order. Now the shock buzzer ring and whoopee cushions I ordered. Those were wonderful

Me trying to explain to folks what my role as a producer was in a video where I neither filmed nor edited a single thing.

Dude this is cool as shit. TY for posting! Also love the old site design. Weirdly refreshing among all the responsive and infinite scroll sites. Currently looking at a beautiful ‘84 Robben Ford Ultra Flame strat. Wow!!

I know everything is shit right now and it feels like it’s all falling apart … but allow me a minute to heap some love on Shogun. Finally started the show and it lives up to the hype. Exceeds it for me tbh. Well written, interesting, pretty funny at times. And the cinematography is absolute 🔥

Hey @politico.com I’d read more of your work if stuff like this didn’t happen all the time. Like cmon man — I know ads help pay the bills but don’t throw UX under the bus.

I’ve decided the only way I’m going to get through the next four years is to listen to a shitload of angry, political punk. Who’s with me?

Great book about this for anyone interested. I’d never even heard about this till I moved to New England. It’s a crazy story.

Every time I hear phrenology — which, mind you, isn’t often — I think of this scene from 1990’s Men at Work

Speaking of legacy media, it’s hard to take seriously anything in a newspaper’s daily email newsletter when there are ads like this in there. Like … wtf even is this.

This is like everything that's stupid and wrong with this moment (esp the last year or so) condensed quite nicely into 12 words.

Everyone watching the #LAFires right now should read @johnvaillant.bsky.social 's "Fire Weather" (if you've done done so already). I hear the audio book is good too if that's your bag. Anyway, it's a great primer on what the future holds, and why we're going to see more and more stuff like this.

We’re getting these “sitings” up in CT too. On one of my town’s FB pages someone posted this … I believe in all seriousness. What a time to be alive.

They’re “showing up here” in Connecticut too apparently. Someone posted this in one of our town’s Facebook groups. I mean … this is all entertaining as hell.
December 15, 2024 at 4:45 PM
I’ve lived in Connecticut for nearly a decade and you’d*think* by now I’d have learned that if yelp reviews are like “I grew up eating Mexican food and this place is legit” … there’s still a 70% chance I’m going to hate it.

lol I run into this too when I’m really in full ADD hyperfocus mode. I assume I’ve been doing something for a long time and it turns out to be much shorter. It’s like the inverse of this:

I offered to make my wife whatever she wanted to eat for her birthday. Anything at all. She asked for caldo de pollo. My abuela would be proud.
