Nurse, Grandad, and Trekkie (I do like Star Wars too, but it's not quite as good). I like being in my garden, country walks with my dogs, as well as being on the couch in front of the fire with my wife. From Lancashire, UK
I've brought the puppy to work with me. Only thing is... He's sleeping on the job

I'm wide awake and about to get up for the day. I'm in work today, but only til 2pm. Then it's home to open presents with my family and to roast the goose for tea.

Happy Christmas to all, but especially to all those other people who are working on Christmas day too.

Its Christmas Eve. The kids stockings are hung out for Father Christmas. And I've had a port n brandy before bed. Time to sleep now. G'dnight everybody. Hope the big guy brings you everything you want in the morning.

For the first time, the kids didn't come for a posset before bed on Christmas Eve. They're either too old now or they've been scrobbled by @brown-abner.bsky.social and his gang.

Managed 3 Christmas films today and I've not watched any of them before. Love Actually, A Boy Called Christmas, and The Lemon Drop Kid. 3 very different films, 2 definitely Christmassy. I'll try and get round to finally watching Albert Finneys "Scrooge" tomorrow, and hopefully Die Hard.

Tired Christmas #puppy. He wanted breakfast at 4am, and second breakfast at 7am. Maybe we should have called him Frodo.

Help required. New puppy arriving tomorrow. We want a festive name, cos he's a Christmas puppy. So far we've got Buddy (Elf), Max (from the Grinch), or Frank (Frankincense). Which do you prefer? Or do you have another suggestion?

The Christmas countdown has officially started for us now. We've started our Christmas tradition of watching #TheBoxOfDelights. Spaced out one episode of a time, last one on Christmas Eve.

Today's Christmas film was Spirited (2022). I'd forgotten how good it was.

The tonight we watched, not a Christmas film I know, Kiss of the Spider Woman (2025). I thoroughly enjoyed it. Diejo Luna playing a completely different part from that in Andor. I liked J Lo too. Missus was less impressed.

1st of December so I can now start watching Xmas films. Today I watched Tokyo Godfathers (2003) and The Grinch (1966). I think this year I'd quite like to try and do one a day. Plus we've got to fit in The Box of Delights, haven't we @brown-abner.bsky.social

Current state of the UK..... Tonight on my doorstep while putting out the recycling, I was told by an unknown passing woman that I was OK, cos I was English, White, and not foreign.
What! That's OK now? You can just come out with that shite?

It is so blatant now.

Yet they still don’t get it.

That even their own racism was created for them by the wealthy to keep them poor.

Will they ever get it?

Crosby Beach today, walking the dogs and looking at Gormleys Iron Men in the sand. It was so warm today, you wouldn't think it was November

Came across these #fungi today out at Delamere Forest. No idea what they are, but very pretty

Me n my missus went for a walk with the dogs today around Delamere Forest. Absolutely stunning. It's been over 20 years since I last went. I shouldn't have left it so long.

Lots of stunning pictures of last nights #BeaverMoon going round today. My one looks like it was from the movie Poltergeist. Lots of cloud and firework smoke around her...

Went out for a walk today with the little dog. One of my favourite places to be. Not as nice as it used to be, as some 4x4's and motocross' have ripped up a lot of the paths. Saw a kestrel, crows, magpies, and pheasants today, but no deers. Walked for an hour before seeing another person.
