Well I've pre-ordered a special edition of @kneecapceol.bsky.social upcoming album on vinyl. Thing is, I haven't had a turntable for over 20 years. Pretty thing though

Our puppy thinks that 6:30am is breakfast time and wakes us up. The other dogs say that's fine and we all get up for breakfast. But then we go back to bed to sleep some more, but puppy wants to play and the other dogs are "no, bugger off. It's too early". We then get whining puppy. It's exhausting.

Took my puppy to work today. He missed the other dogs and ended up going home early. He did manage to wear himself out chasing leaves blowing in the wind out in the courtyard. Then napped at my feet for 2 hours first. #workingdog #puppy

Is that penguin “doing a Paddington”? We can only hope so
Apart from anything else there are no penguins in Greenland. Unless he’s invading the South Pole too….

A fantastic night @thelowry.com this evening. We went to see #ToKillAMockingbird. I'll be honest, I've never read the book or seen the film. I just knew bits, enough to bluff my way through if asked. But my goodness, I wasn't expecting that. It was heart retching. It felt current, and so well acted

If I was a world class footballer, I'd be thinking right now "Do I really want to go to America to play in the World Cup?"

Got tickets last night to see Bob Vylan, again, in February, and Alt Blk Era, again, in May. I'll be going to see Half Man Half Biscuit later this month. Can I see one live band a month this year?

Another trip to @thelowry.com this evening. Yes, we saw another musical. We watched #Unfortunate The untold story of Ursula the Sea Witch. A brilliant performance by all involved, especially the actor who played Ariel as it was her first time. Well done all. Go see it. thelowry.com/whats-on/unf...

It's my birthday 🎉

Been out with my wife and had a lovely day. Bargain hunting round garden centres n a nice lunch in a local pub.
Fab presents from the kids. Then my parents came to visit this evening with a bottle of Jack.

Best part though has to have been the late afternoon nap in a warm bed.

Working New Years Day. For something different we've got a musical on the telly. One I've never heard of before, Ride the Cyclone. Not watching it, working obvs, but thoroughly enjoying the story/music that I can hear.

I've brought the puppy to work with me. Only thing is... He's sleeping on the job

I'm wide awake and about to get up for the day. I'm in work today, but only til 2pm. Then it's home to open presents with my family and to roast the goose for tea.

Happy Christmas to all, but especially to all those other people who are working on Christmas day too.

Its Christmas Eve. The kids stockings are hung out for Father Christmas. And I've had a port n brandy before bed. Time to sleep now. G'dnight everybody. Hope the big guy brings you everything you want in the morning.

For the first time, the kids didn't come for a posset before bed on Christmas Eve. They're either too old now or they've been scrobbled by @brown-abner.bsky.social and his gang.

Managed 3 Christmas films today and I've not watched any of them before. Love Actually, A Boy Called Christmas, and The Lemon Drop Kid. 3 very different films, 2 definitely Christmassy. I'll try and get round to finally watching Albert Finneys "Scrooge" tomorrow, and hopefully Die Hard.

Tired Christmas #puppy. He wanted breakfast at 4am, and second breakfast at 7am. Maybe we should have called him Frodo.

Help required. New puppy arriving tomorrow. We want a festive name, cos he's a Christmas puppy. So far we've got Buddy (Elf), Max (from the Grinch), or Frank (Frankincense). Which do you prefer? Or do you have another suggestion?
