Straight to ‘let’s have a debate about whether racism is racism’ for *almost* all of the UK media. Nothing learned from the lessons of Brexit, Trump & Johnson. But on we go.
Off the top of my head, there have been four egregious examples of weapons grade public racism in the last couple of weeks - Jenrick; the Express hack; Captain Concrete & the Reform woman. The way they are treated by employers, punters & wider media, will directly influence how much more we see.

Keir Starmer: "I said we would stand up for renters. We’re doing exactly that.

This Labour government is abolishing no fault evictions, ending rental bidding wars and introducing legal protections for tenants.

Promise made, promise delivered."

Trump administration’s farm aid plans delayed by shutdown
Trump administration’s farm aid plans delayed by shutdown
Officials have readied nearly $13 billion from an internal USDA fund, but there’s no final decision on how much will be used for farm aid — or when.

Having mispronounced Azerbaijan & mistaken Armenia for Albania last time he mentioned this conflict, Trump has now settled on a formulation of words he is much happier with. And after all, what’s 4000 miles between friends? As the expression goes…
❗️Trump:We stopped the conflict between Cambodia and Armenia. It was just starting and it was a bad one.

Loved The Producers at The Garrick. A tonic and a treat. Everyone was brilliant but Andy Nyman & Marc Antolin really own the title roles.

So sad to see John Stapleton has passed away. He was extremely kind to Lucy & me as we found our feet in broadcasting after moving from print, as he had done years before. Such fond memories of dinners with him & his late wife Lynn, including one quite surreal evening I might talk about tomorrow…

This shouldn’t be hard. Or rare.
But well done all the same.
Elon Musk openly called for violence on our streets yesterday.

I hope politicians from all parties come together to condemn his deeply dangerous and irresponsible rhetoric.

Britain must stand united against this clear attempt to undermine our democracy.

"It's not about me," says Nigel Farage - the man who stoked up the hatred that gave rise to the Farage riots across the UK (but mostly in England) in 2024.
