3/ TEC BCP feels very rote for me by comparison. But CCP and successors still feel traditional enough IMO to be recognizable unlike certain alternatives TEC has put out.

2/ CCP is out of print bc it was succeeded by other SSF resources and also CW. But I own 4 hard copies.📚 I really like the day:season mapping, the short forms which vary by day of week just like full vers., so more variety than our Daily Devotions and lots of the prayers.

Haven’t looked at Canada. My path started w Cel. Common Prayer (CCP) , which I still use most days . It was strong influence on Comm Worship and CofE Daily Prayer and is very similar. And CCP was never digitized. So if I need digital or audio for convenience, I use CofE’s current stuff. 1/

30 years ago a UK friend gave me Celebrating Common Prayer SSF. The Franciscan flavour with strong notes of joy and compassion in prayers and greater variety of canticles really appealed. Obv I use TEC BCP for any public ofc but if it’s just me and I have time to be contemplative, CofE hits better.

I only do it if my schedule is such that it’s my only way of getting MP in. Maybe once a month or so. I don’t have many drives >10 mins here.

Yes if I’m driving I use the podcast.
Which is how I know it’s different from ours. If I start using the podcast more I’d essentially be switching to the Common Worship daily office lectionary, and just wondered what its meta structure is, if any.

TY! Any particular order as to which books are read when? And does order assume the reader is doing both MP and EP daily, since CofE clergy are still required to? I’m TEC but prefer CofE’s daily office services. Right now I use them but w/ TEC lectionary. Pondering using CofE lectionary. ⚓️
