In my military training, I learned that every member of the military had the right and the obligation to NOT carry out illegal orders. Reminding the military forces of this doctrine is not a breach of the military code. Trump must have a lot of illegal orders lined up for our military to carry out.

The US military during my lifetime has stayed away from taking political sides but Trump is trying to politicize everything. He has a knack for curdling the milk in everything he does.

If Trump's proposal for addressing health care costs is anywhere near the low quality of work done by his regime, then we can count on it coming nowhere near solving the problem. Overall, his "solutions" tend to add to problems, not subtract them.

I understand why Trump is pushing this plan: 1) his oversized ego likes hearing Putin's compliments and 2) Putin probably has kompromat. But Rubio presumably wants a career after Trump is gone and he's going to be tainted forever with being Trump's bootlicker.

I also believe the US will pay for it in a costly way. Certainly Ukrainians will never forget this betrayal and likely will wait until it can exact revenge of similar impact. The US will not remain a superpower forever.
