I'm no lawyer but I believe 15 is below the age of consent in any state in the US. Is Kelly starting a campaign to lower the age of consent across the US?

Yes, with conservatives, it's always "I set low standards for me to meet but very high standards for you to meet."

This is a move Dick Cheney would have approved if he were still around. Trump is against only the wars he didn't start but the American people may not be as enthusiastic this time as they were in 2003.
Here's Jacobs' report (that I was too impatient to wait for her to post):
Scoop: Military officials on Weds presented Trump with updated options for potential operations in Venezuela, including land strikes, per sources. Hegseth, Caine at White House yday afternoon for briefings. No final decision made, two of the sources told @cbsnews.com

Per @jenniferjjacobs.bsky.social, DOD presented Trump with plans for strikes in Venezuela yesterday, including on the ground. Astonishing to see the U.S. on the brink of another regime-change invasion with essentially none of the pre-2003 effort to rationalize it domestically and internationally.

There’s definitely a socialism of fools going on—men are being offered domination over women so that they won’t notice how brutally and sadistically they themselves are being dominated by the rich.

Hell, here's hoping someone sues or demands a criminal investigation. He made false claims about them to law enforcement.

Prosecute his sorry white ass.
According to the car wash owner, agents arrested employees before they could obtain their documentation from their work lockers. So many were likely here legally.

Here's hoping this article on Zac boasting about how he ruined some immigrants' lives follows him around for a very long time.

It's a good thing Trump isn't a learned man or he would understand this. He acts based on instinct, not knowledge, and his approach involves making lots of errors. All his accumulated errors are catching up with him now.
There is a reason successful authoritarian movements are often more sensitive to public opinion, rather than less. Ensuring the standard of living for the people who put and will keep you in power is existential for these systems.

Yes, they don't care. But they're going to find out the stock market isn't the national economy. It's going to get real in 2026 when the economy gets very wobbly and Americans are hurting badly. And they'll have no answers.
They don’t care about regular Americans, and believe (not entirely incorrectly) that hiding the data shields the stock market from facing reality.
November 13, 2025 at 4:58 PM
I'm sure among Trump's economic advisors some know this is going to end badly. Rational ones would have bailed by now. The ones there now are willing to go down with the ship, which is already leaking badly.
I think you can see them attempting to will this into existence. Trump can't actually lower himself to deal with affordability, he has to say it's fixed and everyone is just lying.
The thing curious to me is that hiding the economic stats doesn't affect what Americans see/feel what's happening in their own lives re: family budget vs cost of living. Do they believe hiding the data shields Americans from their lived reality?

One of the underrated things that's been happening is that government statistics are load bearing pillars for all sorts of things in the US Economy, and the idiots in charge breaking them is wreaking all sorts of havoc.

Genuinely hadn't occurred to me until today that maybe some of these tech billionaires are so psyched about AI because they are unironically impressed by LLM's writing skills.
Another revelation from all of these emails is that many of the richest and most powerful people in the country absolutely cannot write. Helps explain their sweaty embrace of LLMs.

If genuine, too little and too late. If Congressional Rs were interested in affordability for American consumers, they would have started addressing affordability a decade ago but they were too busy dancing to Trump's magical flute. The die has already been cast.

Sounds like the raid wasn't intended to catch gang members but was intended to intimidate this Chicago neighborhood specifically and Chicago generally. Perfect demonstration of Trump's thuggish style of "jackboot governing."
NEW: @propublica.org investigated the Chicago apartment raid where kids were zip-tied and citizens detained for hours. They find:

- NONE of the arrested were criminally charged
- NO evidence the building was "filled with TdA terrorists."
- ZERO legitimate reason for DHS to rappel from a Blackhawk.

That just shows us that Musk and the far right aren't mature adults and remain forever teenage boys who, like Peter Pan, refuse to grow up. And they demand we respect them for that defect.
Musk and others on the far right are obsessed with things like Lord of the Rings and Dungeons and Dragons because they see fantasy worlds as reinforcing their own beliefs about immutable hierarchies of race, gender, and by extension morality www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2025/1...

Yes, they were and we, the American public, seemed to not care a great deal about it, judging from our electoral choices. We've been more impressed by wealth and power and valuing probity not even a little.
Good for Massie but, come on, the GOP was blowing our budget, starting wars overseas and, yes, even protecting pedophiles (Hastert) two decades ago
REPUBLICAN REP. MASSIE: “I vote with my party 91% of the time… But when they're protecting pedophiles, blowing our budget, starting wars overseas — I'm sorry, I can't go along with that.”

I hope we can keep the national focus on Trump's Epstein scandal no matter what kind of distractions he throws out to the political press.
the best case scenario here is that trump initiated a shambolic scandalous cover up across the federal government this year for his own political version of Frank on Always Sunny telling people correctly that he doesn’t diddle children but understandably causing everyone to suspect something
“‘This Sucks’: Trump and the GOP Thought They Survived the Epstein Scandal. It’s Back”

The one thing that's been the most baffled me about our society is how awestruck Americans are by those who've accumulated a great deal of wealth. Regardless of character, they're given a great deal of respect and recognition, as though money is the only thing that matters.

Trump refuses to let facts pierce the bubble he lives in. He prefers his fantasy world where everything happens in the best possible way for him.
I think you should keep this message up Mr. President, it is clearly working.
INGRAHAM: Is affordability a voter perception issue of the economy, or is there more that needs to be done by Republicans?

TRUMP: More than anything else, it's a con job by the Democrats. Are you ready? Costs are way down.

Yes, Bari Weiss is a living example of the Peter Principle.
it is almost as if someone was promoted beyond their ability
“I’ve been hearing that standards will be eliminated or severely cut back. Bari has told people that she wants to get rid of standards and is shocked that they have so much power. She also asked openly, ‘What’s the point of standards?’” one CBS source said.

This guy has lived in a bubble his entire life and he has no idea how the "common folk" live. I know of no one who wants to negotiate their healthcare insurance. They do want the best insurance possible within their family budget and will shop to find it. But that's not negotiation.
Think about buying a car, a fun, stress-free negotiating process that everybody loves. Now imagine that if you don’t buy a car you die and if you buy the wrong car you also die
Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"
