Hi all! For those who don't know me, I'm a free speech lawyer in Ohio. I direct a crew of lawyers & law students suing the government for speech restrictions and defending SLAPP defamation suits. I used to post a lot about how my kids wouldn't sleep, now its mostly about Cleveland sports.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and several other Trump officials are using Washington-area homes built for senior members of the military. Some former residents are worried that the break with tradition could make it more difficult for some admirals and generals to find affordable housing.
Trump Officials Move Into Military Residences in D.C. Area
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth moved into a home at Fort McNair traditionally reserved for the Army’s vice chief of staff. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and others also now live in military housing.

When we were challenging Council’s public comment rules, Maurer was the only councilor who seemed to understand the First Amendment — and her opponent in this race condescendingly criticized her for it.

Ah, I see jawboning is good now
At the request of the U.S. Department of Justice, a Facebook group used by nearly 80,000 people to report sightings of federal immigration agents in the Chicago area has been taken down by the social media giant Meta, Facebook’s parent company.
Facebook suspends popular Chicago ICE-sightings group at Trump administration’s request
The group, "ICE Sighting-Chicagoland," has been increasingly used in the last five weeks of President Donald Trump’s intense deportation campaign to warn neighbors that federal agents are nearby.

It’s a critical moment to step up and fight back against government overreach in media. If you’re a publisher who needs legal support, please let me know if I can help connect to resources to stand up to viewpoint-based government bullying

This is an abuse of government authority from Rep. Clay Higgins. It's jawboning. It's a violation of the First Amendment. And Americans on the left and right *must* condemn it.

The government using censorship to "protect" speech is utterly repulsive.
