Canadian here. Good analogy. But I think "permanently altered" is a bit far. We just realize that America is working through something so we're going to give y'all some space for a bit. Not so keen on handguns, you see.

I first read this as "17 CATS were set on fire." Hardcore. Honestly, I'm waiting for the AI social algos to start producing headlines like "7 weird ways to disable a Tesla with a GLOCK 17." Interesting times.

Honest question -- is Pierre Poilievre on BSKY? I'd love to be educated on his platform and get his take on happenings before the election. Odd that he (or his social team) isn't here. Unless, of course the Venn diagram is just two circles...

As a non-American, I find open carry a bit... unsettling. Driving to visit the "happiest place on earth" (or at least Kissimmee) but Georgia is filled with people wearing six-shooters to pump gas. Where, exactly, does the theme park start? You do you, America! Love 'ya.
I was raised around guns. I grew up shooting guns. I joined the military, and it became my job to shoot guns.
This is not responsible gun ownership. It screams insecurity and irresponsibility. It's the kind of behavior you'd expect from an unstable person.

Just read something in The Guardian about the dangers of neo-liberalism, etc., etc. In the wake of PresT's tarriff-mongering, I feel like we need a better term. "Me-o-Liberal" -- doing whatever I feel like? "Weirdo-Liberal" maybe? Suggestions? There must be an ism for this moment.
