I genuinely think the role of Meta specifically in driving loneliness is underrated. Facebook replaced existing ways of keeping up with friends with what was briefly a great product, then destroyed that product.
Bit mad that "website that shows you nice pictures of what your friends are up to" is something Meta increasingly refuses to provide. Stories the last vestige of it
Has anyone else's Instagram taken a drastic turn for the worse in the last couple of hours, few days, etc. Just went to check it and my Home feed is just absolutely riddled with movie clips, suggested accounts I don't want to follow, and the one post from someone I actually know is a week old.
